One of the youth leaders, Hannah Adams says, “Our pastor came to the student ministry leaders after service one night during youth camp and revealed to us a vision God gave Him years ago. Bro. Randall said it was never the right time, God never gave him the go ahead, until now. After this idea was laid out to the leaders, there was no doubt in our minds that it was time to start this ministry. A ministry that would allow teenagers to bring the atmosphere of camp back to their community. A place to worship, grow, and become leaders with their friends. An atmosphere that will change the scope of how we worship, the same atmosphere that was at our camp this year where 21 lost souls came to know Christ.”
Hannah continues, “As we kick off this ministry, we pray that through Student Church revival will spread into our church, surrounding churches and our community. We do not plan to put limits on what God wants to do in this ministry but instead follow whatever He wants us to do. Our church is heading into this ministry with a prayer that God will surround this ministry with His power, love, and protection. We head into this praying that God will bless us and that His Holy Spirit will follow us and sit in our midst at every Student Church Service.”
The second service is planned for August 25 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Carrollton AMP.
