Tickets are on sale for humorist Jeanne Robertson’s “Fabulously Funny” tour coming to Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, at the Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center.
The show is a fundraising event for the Community Foundation of West Georgia’s Power of the Purse, a women’s giving circle.
“Jeanne Robertson continues to charm audiences with her humorous observations about life around her. Her family-friendly witty depiction of everyday situations never fails to have audiences of all ages rolling with laughter,” said Community Foundation President Kim Jones. “This year’s show will feature all-new material from her last appearance here in 2017, which sold out weeks before the performance.”
Some of her most popular anecdotes include “Don’t Go to Vegas Without a Baptist,” “Don’t Bungee Jump Naked”, and “Don’t Send a Man to the Grocery Store.” She tours nationally and appears regularly on the Grand ‘Ole Opry. She has nine nationally released DVDs, three books, hundreds of hours on SiriusXM satellite radio and over 67 million YouTube views.
Tickets range from $25 to $50 and are being sold through the Townsend Center online at www.townsendcenter.org, by phone at 678-839-4722 or in person at the Townsend Center during office hours (Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.). For an additional $30, ticket holders may participate in a VIP “meet and greet” reception with Robertson before the show.
