Construction plans were recently released for a new pet spa and resort. The new resort and day space will be constructed at Bailey Station in the Thomas Crossroads area of Sharpsburg. On October 16 last year, a rezoning request was granted by the Coweta County Board of Commissioners for Pet Paradise Resort and Day Spa. The resort and spa is a Florida-based company that offers luxury pet boarding and daycare for dogs and cats.
Plans submitted to the county show that Pet Paradise will have a large, bone-shaped swimming pool for pets, as well as extended-stay wings where pets will be pampered and taken care of by professional groomers. The resort will also feature large outdoor play areas for four-legged friends to enjoy.
It will be located on the corner of Bailey Station Way and Bailey Station Circle. County officials said this development is not related to the existing Pet’s Paradise grooming salon business located in Newnan.
According to the Pet Paradise website, the company originally opened in 2002 and has since grown to more than 35 locations throughout the southern United States. Visit the Pet Paradise website for more information. A comment from corporate was not received by press time.
