Any time a business announces an upcoming closure, someone is affected by it. Many of those are right here in east Alabama and west Georgia. The Furniture House of Carrollton has been a staple in the community for the past 38 years. It’s not just a store, it is where people seek relaxation from their daily busy lives and pick out the perfect piece of furniture to make a house feel like home.

The announcement of the imminent closure happened this week as mailers and advertisements have arrived in residents’ mailboxes. The announcement reads, “The Furniture House, 1621 Bankhead Highway, Carrollton, Georgia, begins a massive going out of business sale this Saturday, August 31 at 10:00 a.m. The entire inventory of brand name home furnishings will be sold at sacrifice prices.”

A longtime team member from the store shared the following message with us, “We appreciate your support over the years, we’ve touched many lives through delivering high quality furniture into people’s homes. Our slogan has always been part of who we are, quality furniture at affordable prices.”
