Patrons will get hands-on experience with printmaking at two workshops associated with Atlanta Printmakers Studio’s Flora and Fauna exhibit at the Carrollton Center for the Arts this Saturday, September 21. Relief Carving, which will run from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., will teach students, ages 14 and older, to carve a linoleum block, create a design then use a small press to produce a finished relief print. All materials are included in the workshop’s $75 registration fee. Intro to Block Printing, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., teaches students, ages 8-13, the basics of block printing using easy-to-find materials that will let artists continue to practice their skills at home. Cost: $15. Please call (770) 838-1083 or visit https://secure.rec1.com/GA/carrollton-center-arts/catalog to register.
