An effort to share the fun and excitement of STEM learning opportunities will be held this Saturday, Sept. 28, at the AMP in Carrollton from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Organizers say West Georgia STEM Fest gives the public the opportunity to work hands-on with professionals in STEM fields to spread knowledge of science and engineering, especially to younger participants.
The collaborative effort will include exhibits from many local educational entities: The University of West Georgia, West Georgia Technical College, Carrollton City Schools, Carroll County Schools, and Oak Mountain Academy. Several local businesses also will participate.
Exhibits will include hands-on activities for families to enjoy. There will be prize giveaways throughout the event schedule, the Carrollton City Schools food truck, Hector’s Curbside, will be on site and special entertainment at noon will be provided by Donald White.
