In September a conditional use application was submitted to the Carroll County Department of Community Development for a new telecommunications tower in the area of the triangle just off Hwy 166 in Carrollton. The new tower proposed for 2551 Travis Hill Drive would provide better reception for those on the Verizon Wireless network.
A variance request for the increased height of the newly proposed tower was also submitted for the October 1 Carroll County Board of Appeals meeting. The request for the approval of the new tower will be heard during the Carroll County Board of Commissioners Meeting on November 5, 2019.
