Bremen City Schools will be hosting the 2nd Annual Veterans Day program on Monday, November 11th at the Bremen High School gymnasium. The “Walk of Honor” will begin the program at 9:00 a.m. All Veterans and Active Military are invited to attend and be honored. To participate in the “Walk of Honor” and sit in reserved sitting, all Veterans and Active Military are asked to assemble at the back of the gym before 8:50 a.m. Parking will be available behind the gym, next to the wrestling complex as well as in front of the gym on Laurel Street. Golf carts will be utilized to help anyone needing assistance.
The guest speaker is Carrollton native, Captain Cliff Harris (Ret.). Bremen students, in grades 4th through 12th grade, will be in attendance, and students in grades Kindergarten through 3rd, will view a live stream from their classrooms. David Hicks, Superintendent of Bremen City Schools, shared “we are honored to host this annual program, and we invite the public to join us as we thank and honor our nation’s heroes. We believe it is vitally important to teach our students that honoring and appreciating Veterans is an important responsibility of all Americans.”
