A Peachtree City favorite will soon build a Newnan location. On December 10 Palmer’s received the green light at a Newnan city council meeting to construct a new location on Summerlin Boulevard near Lower Fayetteville Road and the Kroger shopping center.

Previously zoned as low density offices and institutional district, the 2.15 acre site was successfully rezoned as a community shopping center district, which allows for the construction of the new restaurant.

The conceptual drawings that were presented during the council meeting show a 4,700 square foot building for the new Palmer’s restaurant.

Palmer’s was recently featured as one of the top 100 restaurant destinations by Explore Georgia, which recognized their fried green tomatoes as one of the top 100 dishes that locals love in Georgia.

According to Palmers’ website, the restaurant is passionate about “creating good food and good vibes.”

Those interested in tasting Palmer’s before their Newnan location opens can visit the Peachtree City restaurant at 991 North Peachtree Parkway just outside of the Kendron Village shopping center.
