A Bremen grocery store is undergoing a major renovation that includes bringing a popular coffee company to town.
Construction began this week on an interior remodel of the Bremen Ingles. Among all the work being completed, the highlight of the project is the addition of an in-store Starbucks Coffee location which will be at the south entrance of the store. The location will include a seating area for customers immediately next to the cafe. With this addition, free Starbucks wifi will also be available throughout the store.
According to the store’s co-manager, another major part of the project includes renovations to the deli, which will be adding both a full sushi bar and an Asian food station to its offerings. The department has already had new drink coolers installed, as well as a Coke Freestyle machine and a F’Real Milkshake station.
Additional renovations include new flooring, shelving and bins for the produce department, installation of new registers and checkout stands, which includes adding six new U-Scan registers to the existing four, and an additional conference room for staff to meet.
Renovations are expected to take approximately two months, but the store will remain open during its normal hours for the duration of the project. There is a grand re-opening celebration tentatively scheduled for sometime in late April.
