Longstanding Wishbone Fried Chicken, located at 32 Jefferson Street in downtown Newnan, Georgia, will soon have a new home just steps away from the current spot. The restaurant, which opened in 1970, will relocate to the two-story brick building currently under construction. Several commercial spaces will also be available in the new development. Classic Cleaners, currently located on Greenville Street, will be among the first to relocate its business to the new center.
According to Tommy Sweet, a developer with the project, several apartments are under construction above the ground-level commercial spaces. An opening date for Wishbone’s new location has not been announced yet, but the current location is open for business.
