The Villa Rica community will soon have a new, convenient way to shop. Online grocery pickup is making its way to Villa Rica’s Walmart Supercenter.
According to construction plans, the pickup area will be located on the north side of the store between the Lawn & Garden and Home & Pharmacy entrances. To achieve this design, a section of the fenced-in garden area will be removed so an addition can be built to become the pickup storage location. Twelve parking spots directly across from this area will be restriped, re-signed, and repurposed as pickup parking stalls. In addition, the signature Walmart Pickup signage will be installed on the exterior front wall of the building.
Villa Rica joins the surrounding Bremen, Carrollton, and Douglasville locations in offering this service. Construction is expected to begin in late May and finish in early August.
