When the owner of Newnan and LaGrange Merle Norman studios Mary Ellen Hutcheson turned 13, she and her mother visited their local Merle Norman in St. Louis, Missouri. During her first skin care and make up lesson, Hutcheson fell in with Merle Norman. Forty-two years later, that love has grown even stronger for her brand of choice. She says, “I’m truly a Merle Girl!”
After retiring from her “real job,” Hutcheson vowed to open a Merle Norman and have fun. The opportunity presented itself sooner-than-later, and on March 17 she will celebrate 15 years as a Merle Norman franchisee at Sugars Boutique in Newnan, Georgia.
Hutcheson employs a total of 10 fantastic people and believes her success is attributable to the great team of ladies that nurture the business. Hutcheson stated, “We are committed to our customers, and very quickly our customers become family. We love that moment during a makeover when our customers look into the mirror and marvel at the beauty they see reflecting back!” She goes on to say, “Selling makeup is a bonus. Our real job is letting customers’ inner beauty shine through!” This attitude shared amongst her team is what has driven their business to be a success.
Merle Norman at Sugars Boutique is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. They offer complimentary lesson makeovers and facial services.
Hutcheson says, “Visit us soon and treat yourself to some pampering Merle Style!” Join the 15 year celebration at Merle Norman all day long on March 17.
