Tanner Reports First COVID-19 Death, 150 Positive Tests, March 30

Tanner’s latest results on COVID-19 as of 11:40 a.m. on 3/30/20 are as follows:

Positive test results: 150

Positive inpatient cases:

  • Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton: 26
  • Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica: 9

Total deaths: 1 

It is with great sadness that Tanner Health System reports its first patient death in Carroll County from the novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). The patient passed away at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton on Sunday, March 29.

There have been 1,109 COVID-19 tests administered, with 153 awaiting independent outside lab results. The total number of positive tests represent 15.7% of total tests resulted.

The numbers reported by Tanner reflect cases that have been tested and/or treated within our health system, regardless of the county of patient origin.
