The Carroll County Animal Shelter, located at 251 Automation Drive, Carrollton, Georgia, is offering a foster-to-adopt program and seeking pet foster homes.
The foster-to-adopt program is for pets that are not yet ready for adoption. The program allows individuals and families to sign-up for the care of a pet at their home, while the pet remains under the ownership of the animal shelter. Director of animal services Susan Ellis tells us, “We have a limited number of adoption-ready pets at this time because we are unable to perform spay and neuter surgeries as a result of the impacts of the coronavirus. This is why the foster-to-adopt program is necessary.”
