Central High School Student Named to Furman Scholars Program

Central High School rising senior, Naomi Norbraten, has been named a Furman Scholar. Furman Scholars are selected because of their strong academic potential, leadership and commitment to extracurricular activities and community service.

Furman Scholars are eligible for at least $20,000 per year, or $80,000 over four years, in scholarships upon acceptance to Furman University. 

Naomi is actively involved in the Central High School Drama Club, is Secretary of Beta Club, the founder of the Test Prep Club, FBLA historian, varsity captain of the Academic Team, and a member of the Math Team, Civil Discourse Club, Spanish Honor Society, and National Honor Society.

Linda has been a Carroll County Schools educator since 1995 and currently serves as Central High School’s Media Specialist. In addition, she is a certified fitness instructor with One Life Atlanta Fitness and teaches part-time with the University of West Georgia.
