Site preparation is now under way for a new 10,640 square-foot Dollar General located at 437 Highway 113, which is near the corner of Northside Drive. Carroll County Community Development officials confirmed that construction had begun for the new location. Dollar General’s public relations department told us the store’s opening is slated for early Fall 2020.
Earlier this month both Carroll County and Carrollton public works departments reviewed the water-line plans since they cross both areas. However the planned store lies in Carroll County’s jurisdiction.
In our initial article released in March, Dollar General’s public relations department confirmed that the store would not be a replacement for the location at 1003 North Park Street.
