Sharpsburg’s Cafe Dionne Silently Closes, Relocation on the Horizon

Several of our tipsters sent a few messages this week about the signage and menu board’s being down at Cafe Dionne located on Highway 34 in Sharpsburg. A message received from Cafe Dionne reads, “We closed that location, but we are relocating.”

In March Chef Harold gave an update on their business through a Facebook update which partially reads, “As you know, this epidemic is affecting all small businesses. The service industry is being hit especially hard. Unfortunately, Cafe Dionne has not been immune. Business is down over 90%.” The restaurant temporarily closed and reopened in mid April for special catering family meals.

Many of the family meals included southern comfort cuisine. Cafe Dionne was known for their delicious breakfasts which were highlighted by the homemade biscuits. The restaurant opened in May of 2018. Keep watching The City Menus for more on their upcoming relocation. To read a previous article about Cafe Dionne please click here.
