Another “Hidden Gem” to Take Former Space of Mother’s Kitchen

Following the silent closure of Mother’s Kitchen in May, another restaurant is set to fill the space at 33 ½ East Broad Street in Newnan. The building will soon be home to an authentic Mexican restaurant named El Callejon Cantina.

Owner Norma Canseco says the name “Callejon” means “alley” in English and compliments the alleyway which sits on the back side of the restaurant. She went on to say that she plans to open the restaurant in early October.

Norma previously worked at a restaurant while she lived in Mexico. She brings nearly 10 years of restaurant experience, with a calling back to coastal-inspired meals from Veracruz, Mexico.

Additional information about the menu items, hours of operation, and more will be released closer to the grand opening.
