A Carrollton health food restaurant has opened a second location on the University of West Georgia campus. Heavenly Bowls, known for their acai superfood bowls, opened its UWG location Monday. It is located next to the UWG Bookstore where Einstein’s Bagels and Lobos used to be. Owners Brad and Tracey Spruell worked with UWG’s Dine West and Auxiliary Services to bring the location to fruition. In addition to cash or card, the new location will also accept UWG Dining Dollars.
The new restaurant is in addition to their first location next to Venue 1625, off Bankhead Highway, that opened in June. They also look forward to having several events throughout the year to cater to the college crowd. The UWG location will be open Monday-Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
