A few area entrepreneurs are setting their sights on opening a drive-in theater behind the Fairgrounds at 1625 Bankhead Highway. The new theater named Freedom Drive-In soon will offer an escape from the everyday irregularities of life.
This message was received from Patrick Thompson this week, one of the entrepreneurs behind the scenes working to make Freedom Drive-In a reality. It reads in full, “Thank you so much for waiting patiently for the Opening of the Freedom Drive-In on Bankhead! We have had some setbacks with our vendors for the screen and other materials due to Covid, but we are moving forward! Our contractors are working hard to finish the projected 60′ wide x 24′ tall screen. Our community is ready for some awesome entertainment and we have come up with the perfect solution so that we all will grow together! We will be having a soft opening on October 30-31, 2020. Saturday Night on the 31st we will be hosting our very first Trunk or Treat from 5PM-8PM followed by a scary, family-friendly movie; and then things will get even scarier with an adult-rated movie after that!”
Keep watching for more about Freedom Drive-In in the coming days!
