Santa & Snow Tubing in the Park
Santa in the Park is hosted on the day after Thanksgiving, the event will last from 2pm- 7pm. Santa will arrive at First Avenue Park and will be positioned in the historic fire truck for a photo opportunity. Photos with Santa are FREE but appointments are required to participate. To reserve your photo appointment, visit www.mainstreetnewnan.com Space is limited. There will also be a letter writing station, music, and refreshments available to purchase!
The City of Newnan’s Leisure Services Department is bringing extra Christmas cheer and fun to this event! The department has planned a special visit by Santa’s LIVE REINDEER! In conjunction with Main Street’s Santa in the Park, Leisure Services is hosting Snow Tubing in Park. There will be a snow-tubing slide with real snow tubes!
SnowKings of Atlanta will produce the snow to be used at this event. The snowmaking is similar to that utilized at ski resorts to supplement natural snow. Snow will be blown on the slide and tubing run. Appointments for Snow Tubing are also required! To reserve a snow tubing time, please see Katie Mosley at the Leisure Services Office located in the Wadsworth Auditorium at 25 Jefferson St or call 678-673-5506. Once Santa is finished with his photo appointments, he will ride up to the square and light the Christmas tree located on North Court Square. This annual tradition in Downtown Newnan reminds us all of the importance of the holiday season: fostering hope, charity, forgiveness and kindness.
Free parking is available along downtown streets, and in the City of Newnan’s public parking lots, located at: 13 Lagrange Street, 25 Lagrange Street, 22 Spring Street, 6 First Avenue, 50 East Broad Street, 65 East Broad Street, 41 East Washington Street, and 22 East Broad Street.”
