Bremen Subway Relocates and Adds Pizza Concept, Mama Deluca’s

People in Bremen and travelers along I-20 now have a new way to “Eat Fresh.” After over 20 years in its old location below Mill Town Plaza, the Subway in Bremen has now moved to a brand new building at 102 Price Creek Road between McDonalds and Cracker Barrel.

Jon and Amanda McCorsley are the owners of the Bremen Subway. They also own seven other Subway franchises in Carroll, Haralson, and Douglas Counties. However, this was Jon’s first store when he started with Subway for the franchised shop 22 years ago.

What started the project to build the new location was the success of the drive-thru at one of his other stores, the one on Bankhead Highway in Carrollton. “Drive thru is a new concept for Subway, but it’s worked well for us,” McCorsley said. Therefore, he came up with the idea to build a drive-thru Subway in Bremen, especially because of  its proximity to Interstate 20. The drive-thru option is not only a welcome opportunity for travelers, but also for families.  “My number one complaint that I hear from moms is, ‘I would come there, but I don’t want to get the kids out.’ The ease of coming through the drive-thru makes it a lot more convenient for families,” McCorsley said.

The drive-thru isn’t the only new offering for the Bremen Subway location. In addition to the typical Subway offerings, a co-brand from the sandwich franchise has been added. Mama Deluca’s is a down the line pizza concept, similar to the sandwich assembly line Subway is famous for, where you build your own pizza starting with fresh dough. Pizza is prepared and ready in 3 minutes. Mama Deluca’s menu items also include pasta, boneless wings, and breadsticks baked fresh daily. Also, what makes this location extra special is the fact that there is only one other Mama Deluca’s in the entire state of Georgia.

There is a lot more seating available now than at the old location. The new building seats about 50 people indoors at full capacity, and there is also a patio for outdoor seating.

With the new location and new offerings, McCorsley said they are continuing to hire. “We are still hiring some part-time and full-time people for both day and night shifts. They can apply online at https://www.subway.com/en-US/careers,” he added.

McCorsley says he has enjoyed serving Bremen for the last two decades and looks forward to the new offerings this location will provide. “Thank you for the past 20-plus years, and we look forward to serving Bremen for many more,” he said.
