American Pie Pizzeria Celebrates 10 years in Carrollton

Ten years ago, on November 22, 2010, Max and Brenda Hartman opened up American Pie Pizzeria at 927 Maple Street in Carrollton. Sadly, Max succumbed to a battle with cancer in 2018. However, his wife and family have carried on the business, guided by Max’s legacy.

“One of my dad’s gifts and great joys was connecting with people and building relationships. Before we even opened our doors, he had visited all of the area schools, the University, and the rec. departments to introduce himself and spread the word about American Pie. He took a genuine personal interest in every person he met along the way and instilled a culture of gratitude in all of us for the support our community has shown us from those earliest days on. Those values were instrumental in our early success and continue to be our guiding principles to this day, shared Max and Brenda’s daughter, Joy Hartman.

Brenda Hartman remains owner of American Pie Pizzeria, and Joy Hartman (daughter) and Doug Campbell (son-in-law) manage the business. With a background in big box stores, Joy and Doug learned the business quickly, making it a great success.

According to Joy Hartman, “Pizza is definitely our main attraction at American Pie. From classic favorites like Pepperoni and Five Meat, to more unique flavors like our Chicken Bacon Ranch and Tater Pies among others, everyone has a favorite. The lunch buffet is a great way to sample all of the different flavors we offer! Our Butterballs are legendary, as well as our decadent Cinnamon Roll Pizza. We also offer a variety of salads, with the Betty and Greek Salads being the most popular. One of our newer offerings is a gluten-free cauliflower crust, and that has been a huge hit. With calzones, wings, wraps, and hot subs also on the menu, there really is something for everyone.”

Brenda, Joy, and Doug express their gratitude to the Carrollton community for supporting them for 10 years. “Each opportunity we’ve been given to celebrate moments with you, big and small, has been a gift that we treasure. Whether you’ve dined with us just once, or you make American Pie a regular weekly tradition, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping to make our small-business dream a successful reality. You are always more than “just” customers to us–you are our friends!”

American Pie’s Anniversary Special is a large one-topping pizza for just $10.00 plus tax (limit 5 per customer per day). This promotion will end on 11/21. Check out their Facebook page to enter to win one of five amazing gift baskets! Drawings will be held early next week (11/23).
