A chain boutique specializing in women’s clothing is planning to close 140 of its 700 stores by the end of January. Francesca’s announced the move in November as the possibility of the retailer’s filing for bankruptcy grew more apparent. As of December 3rd, Francesca’s filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to implement a sale. Francesca’s closed 20 stores and restructured their board of directors in 2019 amidst a previous revenue dip. There is no word yet on whether or not this closing announcement will affect any regional locations. *
