ATLANTA—Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will install overnight lane closures on SR 92/Fairburn Road at its interchange with I-20 in the City of Douglasville this weekend. These closures are related to the ongoing State Route (SR) 92 Relocation and Widening project in Douglas County.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, these are the scheduled closures:
- One single lane will be closed on SR 92 westbound at the bridge over I-20 beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11 until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday; and
- Two lanes will be closed on SR 92 eastbound at the bridge over I-20 beginning 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 13 until 5:00 a.m. on Monday.
These closures will help ensure safety for workers and drivers through the project area. Motorists are advised to plan to travel alternate routes while the detour is in place. Please exercise caution and reduce speeds while traveling through work zones. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.
