2021 King Holiday Observance in Carrollton

The MLK Coalition is sponsoring two important events to honor the life and work of The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the acknowledged leader for the Civil Rights movement in America. Everyone is invited to attend “Our Beloved Community Ecumenical Service” on Sunday, January 17, at 5:00 p.m. at City Station, 2115 Maple St, Carrollton, GA.

The Reverend Markel Hutchins, one of the foremost civil and human rights activists today and the CEO of Movement Forward, Inc. will speak to “The Fierce Urgency of NOW.”

You are invited to join our “Beloved Community Walk” Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, beginning at the Carrollton Cultural Arts Center at 11:00 a.m. and ending at the MLK monument, located in Courthouse Park. The speaker at this event will be State Representative Michael Glanton jr. 

The beautiful new monument was presented January 20, 2020 by the MLK Coalition and Evangelist Lorie Bell and Pastor Bradley Bell. 

CDC safety guidelines will be practiced. Masks required.
