Carroll County School System held its annual District Spelling Bee on January 15, at the Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center. Eighteen students from Carroll County elementary and middle schools participated in the event. After 11 rounds of competition, Isabella Jackson, an eighth-grade student from Central Middle School, earned first place by correctly spelling the word, “maimed”.
