Dr. Donna Simpson Recognized for Excellence by College Board

Dr. Donna Simpson, lead guidance counselor for Central High School, has been recognized by the College Board Counselor Recognition Program for creating innovative programs in an effort to expand opportunities for high school students.

Dr. Simpson has been instrumental in increasing the number of Advanced Placement courses offered at Central High School. Through her efforts, Central High School was recognized as an AP Stem and AP Stem Achievement School for five (5) years in a row.

Donna Simpson began her counseling career in 1997 at Villa Rica High School and taught high school math prior to becoming a guidance counselor. She has been part of the Lion family since 2013. Donna is married to the Honorable Chief Judge John Simpson, of the Superior Court.

Linda has been a Carroll County Schools educator since 1995 and currently serves as Central High School’s Media Specialist. In addition, she is a certified fitness instructor with One Life Atlanta Fitness and teaches part-time with the University of West Georgia.
