Central High School Animal Science Department awarded $5000 Grant

Central High School’s Animal Science Department was recently awarded a $5000 grant from Weyerhaeuser Giving
Fund to improve and expand the animal science facilities. The Giving Fund supports a variety of focus areas to support their communities. The grant awarded to Central High School was in the area of education and youth development. The Giving Fund supports and strengthens schools and educational institutions in an effort to help advance teaching, curriculum and instruction that promote student achievement. The award to animal science will be used to enhance the hog facilities and expand the animal presence on campus. Central High School’s Animal Science instructor is Mrs. Nikhol Dysart.

Linda has been a Carroll County Schools educator since 1995 and currently serves as Central High School’s Media Specialist. In addition, she is a certified fitness instructor with One Life Atlanta Fitness and teaches part-time with the University of West Georgia.
