Dollar Tree Sprouting Up In West Newnan

Kevin Hemphill

A new dollar store is sprouting up in west Newnan. The City Menus has discovered plans for a Dollar Tree at 166 Temple Avenue next to Advance Auto Parts and near the intersection with Bonnell Street. According to a store manager at the Family Dollar across the street, which is the parent company of the retailer, it appears that this will be a stand-alone Dollar Tree and will not affect operations at the current Family Dollar.

Construction plans call for a 9,977 square-foot freestanding building to be constructed on the property. Thirty parking spots will be developed with two designated for handicap parking. The parking lot will be connected to Advance Auto Parts’ lot to provide easy access to the store from Bonnell Street.

The retailer is currently looking to hire an assistant manager for the new store with other positions likely to follow. For more information on how to apply for the position, visit the Dollar Tree Jobs website.
