Central High School senior, Max Farmer, was awarded a full-scholarship to the University of North Georgia, The Military College of Georgia. The scholarship is valued at $85,000 and includes room, meals, tuition, fees, uniforms and a $1,200 allowance for books. Max plans to study Strategic and Security Studies and will graduate as a commissioned officer in the Georgia Army National Guard.
Strategic and Security Studies is a Bachelor of Art degree focusing on the theory and application of intelligence and military power to the construction of national defense policy. Max will specialize in cyber security, intelligence, history, international affairs, language and military science. He will study abroad for one semester, putting what he has learned in the classroom, into practice. Central High School principal, Mr. Jared Griffis stated, “I’m very proud of Max and excited for him as he begins the next chapter of life. Max is an outstanding student and
will always be a part of our Lion family.” Max is the son of Pete and Nancy Farmer of Carrollton.
