Traveling through Bowdon you might notice a few downtown windows covered as new businesses prepare to open in the near future. Wendy Leigh’s Photography and Boutique, one of these new businesses, has recently opened at 117 W. College Street next to Bowdon Pawn. Across the street another photography studio has opened adjacent to Cover Me Southern. Currently some other storefronts are undergoing interior renovations for future tenants. Across the street the former location of Hometown / Papa’s Pizza is receiving a buildout for a new restaurant, which has yet to be announced.
On Wedowee Street next to Simple Elegance Bridal and Formalwear, a grooming business has opened. What started as an art studio has quickly transitioned into a dog grooming business during the pandemic.
