Beginning June 5, 2021, the City of Newnan Trolley will resume operations with limited operating capacity as part of the City’s Newnan Summer Block Party hosted by Keep Newnan Beautiful, Main Street Newnan, Newnan Carnegie Library, and the city’s Leisure Services Department.
Riders can take a ride on the trolley from the hours of 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with stops from Newnan City Hall, Dillard’s @Ashley Park (West Entrance), and the Regal Cinemas @ Ashley Park. The trolley will resume its regular Friday-Sunday operating schedule beginning on Friday, June 11, 2021.
“We’ve received feedback from those in the community about adding more stops to the trolley route; riders can expect to see new stops and locations added to the route by the end of summer,” said Ashley Copeland, Communications Manager for the city of Newnan.
As part of the festivities for the city’s Summer Block Party event, anyone taking a ride on the trolley during the opening weekend will have the chance to enter and win a prize pack filled with summer goodies and other giveaways by random prize drawing.
“We’re excited to bring this service back to downtown Newnan and the surrounding area,” said Copeland.
The trolley is a free fixed-route service connection accessible to all and offered by the City of Newnan. Riders can explore downtown Newnan shops, businesses, restaurants, and Ashley Park with this free service connection.
