New Life for a Residential Development in Carrollton

A stalled residential development in Carrollton has found new life this week. On Monday, the Carrollton City Council approved the rezoning of Maple View Drive, just off Maple Street/Georgia Highway 166 in Carrollton. The property behind Food Depot will be a residential planned development featuring 83 single family homes at 4.1 units per acre. The subdivision will also feature open and recreational space with amenities such as a pool and playground. The property has been left largely undeveloped since the first plans for it fell through in 2009.
