New Location, Same Great Team: Velasquez Law Group Relocates to Matthews Avenue

Carroll Co Chamber

Velasquez Law Group has moved to a new location. Previously located at The Burson Center, Attorney Amy L. Velasquez is pleased to announce they have opened up a new location at 310 Matthews Avenue! Amy and her team have been serving Carrollton for nearly 10 years. Amy is bilingual in English and Spanish and decided to branch off from her previous job and provide immigration legal services to the community in 2013. “We do everything from naturalizing, (becoming a U.S. Citizen) to getting eligible people a work permit, to renewing green cards,” said paralegal Nancy Galo. “The most important thing we do is to assist immigrant youth through the asylum or special immigrant juvenile process. Amy has defended clients as young as eight months old from deportation.”

With the Chamber of Commerce selling the Burson Center, Velasquez Law was forced to find new digs. “We found our new home in April of 2021 and are more than pleased with how it has turned out. We are closer to the communities we serve now,” said Nancy.

Velasquez Law Group is staffed by five employees including Amy. She and her team are fluent in English and Spanish and are ready to help further serve the community in their new home, which is also going to be home to their new office cat, delightfully named Mateo, recently adopted from Fur Babies Cafe. “We love our clients and have a real close family-like relationship with them,” said Nancy. “We are very thankful for this relationship and the trust that the Carrollton community has placed in us.”

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on June 17 at 1:00 p.m.. Light, internationally themed refreshments will be served.
