Carroll County School System is pleased to announce that Samantha Green has been named Principal of Villa Rica Middle School. For more than a decade, Green has served in administrative roles for both Carroll County School System and Carrollton City Schools.
Green has many years of experience leading teams at the local and state level including, State Teacher Advisory Council, TKES Focus Group for the State of Georgia, Georgia Teacher Evaluation Process, State Systemic Improvement Planning, as well as being a team lead and trainer for curriculum development and school improvement.
She earned her bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and specialist in middle grades education from the University of West Georgia (UWG). Additionally, Green earned her certification in educational leadership from UWG in 2009, and she is a 2020 graduate of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy. Green also volunteers her time in the community serving in a variety of roles in her church and through the Villa Rica Recreation Department. Early in her career, she was a teacher and an Assistant Principal for Carroll County Schools.
“We are excited about Mrs. Green returning to Carroll County to serve our students and families at Villa Rica Middle School. She is an experienced leader who is passionate about providing premier service to students, staff, and in our community,” shared Scott Cowart, Superintendent of Carroll County School System.
