The first annual Buffalo Creek Fall Festival is presented by the Carroll County Master Gardener Association on Saturday, October 9 from 9 am to 4 pm at the Carroll County Ag Center located 900 Newnan Road in Carrollton, GA. The Festival will include a plant sale, arts and craft vendors, food, children activities, horticulture related educational speakers, and guided tours on the Buffalo Creek trail. Shop local with over 20 arts and craft vendors, numerous food truck and vendors, along with annual and perennial plants for your garden.
Horticulture presentations will be on the half hour and include: 10:30 am – Backyard Pollinators and the Plants that Sustain Them – Gail Woody, The Butterfly Lady; 11:30 am – How to Prune almost Anything – Randy Cooper, Certified Arborist; 12:30 pm Unless You Test, It’s Just a Guess! Soil Testing for Your Garden – Paula Burke, UGA Extension Carroll County; 1:30 pm – Why Native Plants? – Carol Hight, Georgia Native Plant Society, West GA Chapter; 2:30 pm – Spring Blooming Bulbs – Kim Toal, UGA Extension Fayette County. Children’s activities will start on the hour at 10 am and will be making origami butterflies, hanging planters from bottles, chenille bugs, and paper flowers.
