Support Newnan Cultural Arts Commission by attending the performance of “Dracula: A Love Story” at the Wadsworth Auditorium presented by Southern Arc Dance Theater and featuring choreography by Paulo Manso de Sousa.
The Chair of Newnan Cultural Arts Commission, Jaami Rutledge, explains, “Southern Arc Dance Theatre has a collection of professional artists performing primary roles and dancing, along with community members who participate in the acting pieces as well as the children’s pieces. Doug Kees, a local musician, wrote the score for ‘Dracula: A Love Story.’ There will be live musicians on the stage with the professionals and community dancers and actors.”
Jaami continues, “The Newnan Cultural Arts Commission was created by the city of Newnan to enhance, engage, and excite the community through arts and culture. Our goal is to bring events that are different. We feel that we do not overlap with anything that other community groups are doing in terms of acting and music, but we all complement one another. We want to thank the people of Newnan for supporting this part of the city’s budget and our yearly offerings. We look forward to finishing the year strong.”
