In late October of this year, 3:16 Family Medicine opened an Infusion Center located in Bremen’s Mill Town Music Hall Shopping Center. As you might be aware, 3:16 Healthcare has family medicine locations in Carrollton and Bremen, along with Spa locations in both. The new treatment center is designed to reduce insulin resistance, which is the primary cause of type 2 diabetes and other metabolic disorders. Dr. Allison Key explains, “This treatment includes an intravenous (IV) precision administration of FDA-approved fast-acting insulin using an FDA-approved portable pump. Administering insulin using this specific protocol allows the body to maintain an optimized metabolism and reverse chronic conditions.” She also wanted to iterate that, while this treatment isn’t a cure, it does significantly help symptom management and increase quality of life.
Those seeking this type of care will first be under the “Induction Phase” which is 2 infusions per week followed by 1 per week, with the total induction phase of 90 days. Then once a balance between an optimized metabolism and insulin sensitivity takes place, a maintenance phase will begin. This phase extends as much time as possible between treatments.
According to Dr. Key, many of their patients are reporting several amazing improvements such as their energy being restored, weight controlled, medications reduced, blood sugar controlled, reversal of chronic kidney disease, reversal of painful diabetic neuropathy, mood and sleep improved, and several other achievements. She explains, “We treat the root cause of diabetes: the broken metabolism. The patented therapy closely mimics and restores the natural communication between the pancreas and liver that has been distorted in diabetic patients. This treatment does far more than traditional programs. This is no longer using insulin as a drug, but using it as the hormone in a bio-mimicking way, much like the original way God designed our bodies to work.”
3:16 Family Medicine’s Infusion Therapy center is one of just 55 clinics in the entire United States to be approved to offer this ground-breaking treatment. There are also studies underway that show dramatic improvements in neurological disorders like Parkinson’s Disease. Some very high profile patients have been using this therapy with tremendous results in other clinics, and Dr. Key and her highly trained staff are excited to be able to offer these protocols in addition to the diabetes/metabolic disorder protocols.
Other traditional infusions are also being offered at their Infusion Therapy office including hydration, vitamin infusions, treatments for osteoporosis, intravenous antibiotics, and more. The plan is to gradually increase the number of therapies offered at the center to help as many patients as possible.
