Mountainfilm on Tour Coming to Center for the Arts

The Mountainfilm on Tour film festival will stop off at the Carrollton Center for the Arts, January 2, featuring a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm festival in Telluride, Colorado.

“This is our sixth year offering Mountainfilm and each year this festival becomes more and more popular with our Carrollton audience,” said Arts Superintendent Tim Chapman. “This year’s festival offers ten films in an hour and a half. I know you will not be disappointed and what better way to start off the new year?”

Mountainfilm is a documentary film festival held every Memorial Day weekend that showcases stories about environmental, cultural, climbing, political and social justice issues. Along with exceptional documentaries, the festival goes beyond the film medium by bringing together world-class athletes, change makers and visionary artists for a multi-dimensional celebration of indomitable spirit. Mountainfilm’s mission is to use the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. To learn more about Mountainfilm, visit www.mountainfilm.org.
