Over the past year or so we’ve been watching some unique construction directly in front of the Norfolk Southern Railroad line off Minden Place. Builder Brian Preston and his team just put these two homes on the market. He spoke to us about his inspiration for the new residential options downtown, “Covid has changed the way we work, and I wanted to create a dwelling for entrepreneurs to live and work without leaving home. The buildings were inspired by Scandinavian design, and you just can’t beat the location.”
Each dwelling has around 1700 square feet of space including two bedrooms and a trendy, modern kitchen. Downstairs offers a half bath and 800 square feet of space that can serve as a studio, office, or additional living space. There is also a separate entrance that leads upstairs to the two bedrooms.
Brian shares his thanks for those who have supported this project, “We are so thankful to live in a city like Carrollton that allows builders and designers to be creative.” His next project is well underway on Burns Road directly next to Lake Carroll that will be home to a few cottages.
