February 14th was a very special anniversary for Indulge Salon and Day Spa in Carrollton. It marked the 10th year Becky Preston has worked for the company, and over that time she has evolved and developed into the finest spa director in West Georgia.
“When I first started, it was simply a part-time job to help me get through college.” Becky had enrolled and was studying Paralegal Studies.
“It was a bit intimidating and confusing. I had never worked in this industry, and it took me a minute to find my way through the unique challenges this crazy business presents.”
Becky is a quick learner, and in under two years she grew into the role of the first spa director in the history of Indulge.
“I quickly learned to really enjoy the staff, the customers, and the area. I finished my degree, and the rest is history!”
Over the last 10 years she has witnessed a lot of change. “We have grown tremendously. We have constantly added new services and products, grown our staff, and been blessed to grow our customer base as well.”
“We have certainly had our challenges,” Becky commented. However, she has been a steady influence through COVID, staff challenges, new operating systems, and the natural ebbs and flows that challenge all small businesses.
Randy and Michelle Hanscom purchased the business in September of 2020, an event that also required Becky to learn to operate with a new ownership. Once again, Becky excelled through the transition and really impressed the new owners.
“When we decided to buy Indulge, we were so impressed with the staff, the facilities, the customers, and the area. But the “icing on the cake” was Becky,” Randy said.
“Becky is the energy, the drive, and the person that really knows what makes this place go,” he continued. “Her experience, knowledge, and dedication to our staff and our customers makes her so special.”
Michelle Hanscom agreed, “Becky is involved deeply in our community, and we are lucky to have her as our spa director. We appreciate her, care for her deeply, and look forward to working with her for many more decades to come!”
