Central High School Math Teams Dominate in Competition

Central High School sponsored math teams in  all grade levels for the Carroll County Schools Perennial Math Competition. The Central teams  dominated in the county wide competition. Math Department Chair, Ms. Jacklyn Ross, worked with teams in preparation for the  competitive event. The team of Kaitence Vaughn, Annabelle Turpin, Abigail Atkins, and Mary  Lois Griffis was the highest performing 9th grade team, with freshman Mary Lois Griffis as the  top scoring 9th grade student in the entire district.

The team of Allee Adams, Chip Murray, and Jaidyn Kierbow was the highest scoring 11th  grade team in the district. Junior Chip Murray earned the highest score of all competing 11th  grade students and Heather Eidson, a Central High School senior, earned the highest 12th  grade score in the competition. 

Carroll County Schools hosted the Perennial Math competition at the Performing Arts Center  where Superintendent Mr. Scott Cowart presented awards.
