Two Central High School Students Named GHP Finalists

Two Central High School students were  selected as finalists in the Governor’s Honors Program. Olivia Vande Kerkhoff was selected in  the area of music and Natalie Proksell was selected in the area of visual arts.

“This is the first time we’ve had two participants in Fine Arts,” said Principal Griffis. He  continued, “We are very proud of these two students and know they will enjoy the GHP  experience this summer.”

The Governor’s Honors Program (GHP) is a residential summer program for gifted and talented  high school students who will be rising juniors and seniors during the program. The program  offers instruction that is designed to provide students with academic, cultural, and social  enrichment necessary to become the next generation of global critical thinkers, innovators, and  leaders.
