Blue Nomad, a Serious Space for Serious Food

Blue Nomad Food Truck and their sister company, Mrs. Nomad Sweets and Treats, are opening their own base location in Bowdon! Open to the public on Tuesdays, the new location gives the trucks a base camp to prepare for upcoming events, as well as serve as a permanent space to sell food. “Our vision is to eventually have outdoor seating for at least 30 people and a corn hole area, so the guests have something fun to do while they wait for their food,” said Sam Ly, the owner.

“We are still a food truck business, and all food is served from the food truck window [There is no inside seating].  We hope to provide the people in the community a fun place to get a great meal and a delicious dessert.”

Starting May 24, Nomad Park will be open every Tuesday from 11:00 a. m. to 8:00 p. m. at 1002 W. College Street in Bowdon. Guests can expect the same great Asian Fusion food that diners have come to enjoy over the years, and Mrs. Nomad will offer a special sweet twist to the dining experience. “We offer homemade desserts from loaded Belgian waffles, cheesecake cones, cannoli, cakes, cookies, brownies, and many other sweet treats,” said Sam.

Blue Nomad has been ever-growing since they started serving food years ago and are looking forward to their next chapter, “Until our move to Bowdon, our church, First Christian Church in Carrollton, allowed us to use their kitchen as our commissary,” said Sam.

“Without their support, we would not have been as successful.  We also want to thank the people in the West Georgia area for supporting food trucks.  Our schedule regularly takes us around Carroll, Haralson, Paulding, Troup, Coweta, and Fayette counties and each location has welcomed us.”
