In October of 2014 gusto! (Ga-Sto) opened their first location in Brookwood Village directly across from Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. It started as a place to get a quick salad, brown rice bowl, or sandwich, and then a selection of sauces or veggie combinations to top it off. The menu is still pretty simple to this day. It all starts with selecting your gusto, which is the kick/sauce of the meal, then a protein; either chicken, shrimp, tofu, or avocado and finally a base such as rice, flatbread, mixed greens, etcetera.
Now gusto! Is popping into the suburbs. With ten locations around metro Atlanta, the 11th location in Sharpsburg will be located at the new Fischer Marketplace development. Coincidentally, it will be in the same area as a new Piedmont Medical Complex currently under construction. The new gusto! will face Highway 34/54 eastbound towards Peachtree City.
A date is not set yet for the opening; however, construction is set to begin later this year. The statement from gusto! also mentions that a Publix will soon be constructed at the development, but The City Menus is unable to verify this. Construction plans for the new “suspected” Publix have not been made publicly available.
