New Notification System Gives Parents Up-to-Date Information on School Bus Routes

The Coweta County School System Transportation Department has begun offering the “Bus Bulletin” notification system, which lets parents and students know when there are bus schedule changes or delays of 10 minutes or more for specific school bus routes.

The text-based notification service is free and can be signed up for at BusBulletin Registration on the Coweta County School System’s website.

To find the registration site – and to confirm current bus routes – go to www.cowetaschools.net, click on Departments, then look for Transportation. Parents can find the system sign-up there, as well as listings for elementary, middle and high school bus routes. Bus numbers and route information are listed by street for each school.

The new bus bulletin system is already active, and will replace the transportation department’s older “Bus Status” system as of August 26. Parents and students are urged to sign up for the new text-based service to continue receiving the latest information.

For help with registration, call Amy Williford at the transportation department, at (770) 254-2820 or by email at [email protected].
