Carrollton High School science teacher Tim Hawig received a donation from the Carrollton Civic Women’s Club to help start a 4H Forestry Club for students at CHS. The donation was made to the Carrollton City Schools Education Foundation to support the club’s inaugural year. The club will serve as an after-school activity where high school students will gain a strong understanding of trees, forest management and environmental issues. It also provides a hands-on learning experience that helps students develop skills to become better managers of forested land.
