Sarah Dutton Awarded Full Academic Scholarship to the University of Alabama

Central High School senior, Sarah Dutton, was awarded a full academic scholarship to the University of Alabama. Sarah was eligible to apply for the University of Alabama Diversity Merit Scholarship after earning a prerequisite National Recognition Program Award from College Board. As the recipient of the National Recognition for Rural & Small Town award, she was then able to apply for various scholarships associated with College Board and universities.

The scholarship will cover four (4) full years of tuition, housing for the first year, and give Sarah a $1,000 additional stipend for the four (4) years she attends college. She plans to earn a degree in Environmental Engineering.

Sarah is the daughter of Kimberly and Dennis Dutton of Carrollton.
